FTP or "File Transfer Protocol" is a communication protocol used to
transfer files from one computer to another. There are many different
FTP software applications available. Most provide a user interface that lists the
files on both computers and allows the user to transfer individual files,
groups of files or
entire websites between the personal computer and the server computer.
